location where laboratory testing will be done (often a conference room, garage,
workshop or other similar space with electricity and space for setting up a few
work tables) ·
Inventory

Meet with
stakeholders – §
provide overview
of survey process, §
present 30 min. fuel
microbiology PowerPoint talk, §
discuss
symptoms, concerns, and system histories; §
identify
interested/affected parties.

Visit first
survey site(s) ·
Walk
participants through on-site processes (site condition observations & data
collection) ·
Collect first
samples ·
Demonstrate and
have participants run tests on samples collected ·
Get field
supplies ready for following day
Tuesday
through Thursday (as needed)

Pick up gear
from lab ·
Complete site
visits (2 to 4 retail sites or 5 to 7 bulk tanks) PM

Run tests on
day's samples ·
Begin observing
microbiological tests started previous (or earlier) days

(or final day for surveys of shorter or longer duration)

Meet with
stakeholders – §
Summarize
week’s activities §
Provide initial
impressions, based on data available (some of the microbiological tests and
follow-up laboratory tests may not be available until several weeks after the
field work has been completed) §
